BJP’s Vijay Rath continues its triumphant journey, tramples divergent Alliance Dreams

Voters trust Modi's Guarantee of delivery of Welfare Schemes over Congress and allies' bags of Freebies, short of credibility

With the Counting in Four out of Five Assemblies completed by Sunday evening, Modi-Shah-Nadda led Bhartiya Janata Party  has proved its popularity among Indian public is far superior than the crude alliance put up without any ideological concurrence. BJPs clear victory in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh is beyond the expectations of the party leadership, though strategy and skill in election management was perfect, without  any lapse or confusion among the contestants. In Rajasthan, the incumbent Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was a single strong projection while BJP on the other hand was  somewhat a divided house as party had fielded half a dozen MPs in state election, projecting them as CM faces apart from ex-CM Vasundhra Raje, state president CP Joshi, Satish Punia and other senior candidates. In Madhya Pradesh also the ruling BJP fielded several MPs as prospective CM candidates apart from incumbent Shivraj Singh Chauhan and central minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. The strategy neutralized the negative sentiment of anti-accumbency  against CM Chauhan, who is completing three terms as Chief Minister and BJP ruling the state for 17 years.

In all three states, BJP got clear and confident majority; with Madhya Pradesh 163/230, Rajasthan 115/200 and Chhattisgarh 54/90 the party has added two more states in its fold and retained the third.

BJPs USP is Delivery of More than Promised and Dot On Promised Time, if not ahead of it. Modi-Shah team at top keeps its strategies close to their chest, making modest announcements and deputing the necessary rookies to execute party plans.   Party made promises for all sections of the society, stuck to its agenda points and

manifestos, executed them and galloped forwards. Opposition alliance on the other hand, made unbelievable promises, showed imaginary dreams to the public without any estimates for execution or fulfilment. Examples are: offering 50 lacs medical insurance per family without knowing how insurance letters will have to be issued and how much funds will be required?

NDA govt. schemes were for everyone, without bias for religion, caste, sex, region or political ideology, which helped BJP snatch major chunks out of  opposition following. Muslim Women, SC/ST, Youth, working class and class subjects came to NDA fold in drones.

Security & Safety of Citizens is the second strength of BJP led NDA government. Riots, mob controlled crime, explosions, hijacking etc. are news of the past, which formed daily headlines during UPA rule of 2004-2014. Stone pelting in Jammu & Kashmir is a forgotten word despite repeal of Article 370 in August 2019 and reorganization of the State forming two units viz., J&K and Ladakh. Efforts of the Opposition to incite unrest on occasions has failed to bring any dent to the image of Modi-Shah team, rather it has improved tremendously.

India on World Stage: Having no experience on international affairs, Modi government left the job to S. Jaishankar-Sushma Swaraj duo in its first term and gained time for defence upgrade, technology update and applying diplomacy for real-time gains for India’s position on World stage. Without losing old friend Russia’s trust, India gained trust and friendship of the West, America, Europe and other power blocks. Confidently facing Covid-19, vaccination of all citizens and successful execution of  G-20 Presidency term during 2022-23 enhanced India’s image as a confident performer.

Chandrayan-3‘s perfect landing on the Moon’s southern dark region after failure of previous attempt boosted morale of Indian space scientists, technology driven youth and public in general. New advancements in defence production, white goods, mobile and communication equipment, helped India keep adding to Forex kitty apart from saving the valuable currency spent on imports every year.

Reconstruction of Ram Mandir had been one of the core agendas of BJP (earlier Jan Sangh) since independence, also a ladder to access power at the PMO on Raisina Hills. Apart from glimpses of  Good Governance exhibited by former PM Atal Behari Vajpayee (Ram Rajya) despite leading coalition govts for over six years, the Party had left some tasks undone viz., Ram Mandir, Article 370 repeal and relief from politics of appeasement/reservation.

Majority of Indian citizens have religious bend in their social, family and day to day life. The troika of Ram, Krishna and Shiva rules their hearts and shows path to their prosperity, peace and ultimate salvation.

BJP has been able to retrieve part of these tangled issues under Modi’s 9.5 Year long regime at Delhi and the countrymen feel assured of deliverance by the NDA team.

Opposition Alliance I.N.D.I.A. has not been able to put up a united image. With Sharad Pawar, Nitish Kumar, Mamata Banerjee being completely absent from scene during 5 State elections, how would they fight the 2024 Lok Sabha elections together and put up a fight against strong NDA comprising mainly of BJP stalwarts, young faces and performance graph during the last Ten years ?

Modi’s team has also been able to bring in some reforms in Financial sector, legal sector, rail and road transport sector, though much remains to be done in Justice delivery and Social justice remain to be finished.

It remains to be seen how much more the team NDA delivers in the next 6 months of Governance and how Indian public rates its performance in two-Terms at Delhi’s throne before entrusting it the job for Five more years in mid-2024.
