New Delhi, Mar 10: Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has attributed the BJP’s success in Vidhan Sabha elections in four states to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development agenda which caters to all. Taking a swipe at the opposition, Naqvi said the opposition’s tricks could not defeat the BJP as it had the blessing of people of the country. Talking to reporters here, Naqvi said that BJP’s resounding victory in Uttar Pradesh and other states was an endorsement by voters of Prime Minister’s resolve of “inclusive development and all-round empowerment”. He said those who were making fun of the development have been rejected by the people. “On the one hand, there was opposition and on the other hand, there was a five-year rule of BJP. People have given a mandate to the combination of good governance and development,” Minority Affairs Minister added. He said BJP believes in hard work and a result-oriented approach and that the people have rejected the dynastic politics in the country. The Minister said that the BJP is always considered the “glamor of victory and the grace of defeat” as part of democracy.
