Armed Robbery at Petrol Pump in Broad Daylight, Manager Robbed at Gunpoint
Mirzapur : In a daring daylight robbery, two armed miscreants held up a petrol pump manager at gunpoint and made away with lakhs of rupees. The robbers fled the scene on a motorcycle after the incident, and the police are now on the lookout for the culprits.
The robbery took place early Monday morning at the Gyan Ganga Petrol Pump, located near Bastara Mor in the Lalganj police station area. Two men on a bike approached the petrol pump manager at around 4:00 AM, threatened him with a pistol, and stole a large sum of money. Upon receiving the report, the Lalganj police, along with the Special Operations Group (SOG) and surveillance teams, arrived at the scene for investigation.
Mirzapur’s Superintendent of Police, Abhinandan, confirmed that two armed robbers were involved and said that two teams have been assigned to apprehend them. CCTV footage is being examined, and an FIR has been registered to take further action. The police also revealed that the miscreants had attempted another robbery in Aurai, and teams have been dispatched there as well.
