Anil Vij Accuses Arvind Kejriwal of Creating Panic Among Delhi Residents
Haryana Minister Anil Vij reacts strongly to the FIR filed against Arvind Kejriwal over his remarks on Yamuna water quality…….
Chandigarh: Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister, Anil Vij, has sharply criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for allegedly spreading panic among Delhi residents. His comments came after an FIR was filed against Kejriwal by irrigation department officer Ashish Kaushik in Sonipat, Haryana, regarding Kejriwal’s claims about contaminated Yamuna water.
Reacting to the development, Vij stated, “If a case has been registered, an investigation will follow. Kejriwal must clarify who poisoned the water and provide proof.” His remarks were in response to Kejriwal’s recent challenge, where he asked Union Home Minister Amit Shah to drink Yamuna water to prove its safety. Vij countered by saying, “Our Haryana Chief Minister has already done so.”
The controversy erupted when Kejriwal alleged that Yamuna’s water had been deliberately contaminated, causing panic in Delhi. Following this, the Sonipat administration took swift action, and a formal complaint was lodged against him.
Addressing another issue, Vij also targeted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) regarding a case where a vehicle from Punjab, allegedly carrying cash and liquor, was seized in Delhi. He questioned, “Who is sending money from Punjab? Who holds power in Punjab? This raises serious concerns about the ruling party’s integrity.”
Meanwhile, on the issue of rising electricity bills, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda accused the BJP-led government of unfairly burdening citizens with excessive charges. In response, Vij dismissed Hooda’s claims, stating, “Electricity tariffs are not set by the government but by an independent regulatory authority. Hooda should be well aware of this, having served as Chief Minister for years.”
The political showdown between AAP and BJP continues to escalate, with allegations and counter-allegations dominating the headlines. As investigations into Kejriwal’s claims and the cash-seized vehicle case progress, the political temperature in both Delhi and Haryana remains high.
