All hurdles to Pathankot- Mandi and Matour -Shimla NH to be removed

Dharamshala, Jan 21 (Ashok Raina-UNI) Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kangra Dr Nipun Jindal, on Friday a review meeting was held in the auditorium of the Deputy Commissioner’s office regarding expediting the land acquisition works for the construction of Mataur-Shimla and Mandi-Pathankot four lanes and progress of land acquisition for the National Highway.
The Deputy Commissioner Nipum Jindal told UNI that for the construction of the four lane National Highways passing through the biggest district of the state, the formalities of the pending cases under the Forest Officers Act (FRA) have been completed and handed over to the officials of the Highway Authority. He said that along with this, the appraisal process for the cost of the buildings coming under the development of  four lane construction is in progress.
He said that he has directed all the errors related to four laning will be done by February 5, this year. He said that three packages and sub-packages of Mataur Shimla Four-lane have been fixed. In this, construction of 54 km four lane is proposed in Kangra district. He said that at the same time, five packages and sub-packages have been fixed under Mandi-Pathankot four lane. In this, construction of 124 km four lane is proposed in Kangra district.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the land of Nurpur, Jawali, Shahpur, Kangra, Nagrota, Palampur, Jwalaji, Dehra sub-divisions have been identified under Mandi-Pathankot and Mataur-Shimla four lane construction proposal.
Deputy Commissioner said that he has asked the sub-divisional officers of all the sub-divisions to work on priority basis for land acquisition related to the four-lane construction and land-interaction for the National Highway.
He said that all the officers related to the project have been directed to establish mutual coordination so that appropriate steps could be taken in the direction of four lane construction work.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Jindal said during the review meeting on Friday that officers related to Mandi Pathankot and Mataur Shimla four lane construction including ADM Rohit Rathore were also present.
