Air Chief RKS Bhadauria: Talks continuing on eastern Ladakh
Hyderabad, Jun 19 (UNI) Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal R K S Bhadauria has said that the talks are continuing on eastern Ladakh, the border area of India and China.
Talking to media on the sidelines of the combined Graduation parade held at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal near here on Saturday, while replying to a question, the Chief of Air Staff said that the 11 rounds of talks had taken place so far.
He said moves on for the next round of talks adding that there is a proposal on Deputy Commander level talks.
The decision would be taken in the course of time. The first attempt is to continue the talks for disengagement and the balance friction points and up course follow the de-escalation.
However, in parallel the ground reality has been monitored whatever is the reality in terms of current leftover locations, deployments and any changes that are also being monitored and whatever actions are required on our part are being taken.
Replying to another question on Galwan, he said that every activity has been monitored, what is the ground reality. What are the changes taking place. What action is required on our part?

Replying to another question of MIG-21 accidents, The Chief of Air Staff said that every accident is unfortunate. We have taken a lot of steps to prevent accidents..
He said every aircraft has a life. And it is not accident prone because of age. There is a training methodology, maintenance methodology. When seen, the accident rates within the MIG 21 more are less the same. So being fatal is always a big concern for us. Making all efforts to fly worthy of MIG 21. There is a plan for face out MIG 21. Four LCAs have already been inducted during the last 3.5 years.
