Kangra ADC approves Rs 10.94 crores in CM’s self-reliance scheme

Dharamsala, Dec 7: Approval was granted to fifty cases under the Chief Minister’s Swavalamban Yojana here  on Monday, in a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar.
This district level meeting was organized at the District Industries Center, Dharamsala under the Chief Minister’s Swavalamban Yojana.
General Manager, District Industries Center Rajesh Kumar and Chief Manager Punjab National Bank Kanwaldeep Singh Kheda were present in the meeting.
A total of 61 cases were received under the scheme in the meeting, out of which approval was given in 50 cases at a cost of 10.94 crore.
Many new proposals were received under the scheme, which mainly include dental clinic, bakery, petrol pump, plastic made paver block tiles etc. Also to be found at the hotel are camping sites, hotel, shopping mall, restaurant.
Under Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojna, Himachali permanent resident youth of 18 to 45 years of age and women from 18 to 50 years, 25 and 30 percent and widows are eligible for 35 percent grant respectively on loan up to 60 lakhs on project cost of one crore rupees. . Through this scheme, the state government is making efforts to make maximum unemployed youths and girls of the district self-reliant.
Recently some new projects have been included under this scheme by the state government, mainly ambulance, EV charging station, petrol pump, oxygen tanker, surveyor units, agro tourism, tissue culture, cold storage for milk products, dairy. Farming etc. Apart from this, the department cautions all the applicants to avoid fraud or transactions of any kind of agent or unauthorized organization. No agent or organization is allowed by the department to provide services under this scheme.
