AP govt allocates land to P V Sindhu for B’minton Academy
Vijayawada, June 17 (UNI) The government of Andhra Pradesh has allocated two acres of land to badminton champion P V Sindhu to set up a badminton academy near Visakhapatnam.
The government issued a GO on Thursday allocating two acres of land located at Chingadili village in Visakhapatnam rural mandal to set up P Venkata Sindhu Badminton Academy and Sports school for promoting sports in the public interest.
Ms.Sindhu is setting up the International academy at a cost of Rs.5 crore. The academy would be set up in two phases. The government asked Sindhu to recognize the talent among youth and encourage them in sports.
