No labourer should remain deprived of work during lockdown : Nitish
Patna, May 6 ( UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday directed that any interested labourer should not remain deprived of work opportunity during the lockdown.
While reviewing the Covid scenario and the progress of the steps initiated to provide relief to the people during lockdown, Mr Kumar directed the concerned authorities to provide work to the labourer through MANREGA both in rural and urban areas.
He asked the authorities to engage the labourers in various programs taken up under seven resolves part two.
He asked them to follow the guidelines for covid-19 during the work.
Meanwhile Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that the government has decided to appoint doctors and other staff on temporary basis for the next three months in view of the increasing cases of coronavirus infection.
