‘Maat-Pita poojan diwas’ at Maat-Pita Temple on April 10

Winners of coloring competitions will also be awarded during the occasion

Chandigarh: ‘Maat-Pita Poojan Diwas’ will be celebrated on April 10 at the world’s first and only under-construction Maat-Pita Temple at Khallaur village on Banur-Ambala road in Mohali district.
Swami  Akhileshwarananda Giri Ji Maharaj will be the chief guest, whereas senior BJP leader Shyam Jaju will be guest of honour. The special guests will be Dharampal Bansal, President SBS and Harmony Group of Colleges and Agar Rataan, Sham Lal Singla, the chief patron of Agroha Vikas Trust Punjab.
Talking to media during a press conference here on Tuesday, Gochar Das Gyan Chand Walia, founder of Mata-Pita Godham Mahatirth said that on this occasion, Chanderkant from Akhil Bhartiya Gau Katha Vachak will share his inspirational thoughts and Bhajan singer, Parveen Wadhawa will enthrall the audience with his sweet bhajans.
The program will start with Nandini Gau Mahayagya followed by Maat Pita Pujan.
During the occasion winners of coloring competitions will also be given awards.
The coloring competition by Sanskar Jyoti was launched in February under a unique initiative of inculcating a sense of respect for parents and elders in our future generations at school level.
Under this initiative of imparting seeds of ‘sanskar’ in our young minds, the pictures were handed over to 11 schools wherein students with the help of their parents and teachers, while understanding the story behind the picture were asked to colour the pictures and write a description in 3-5 lines also.
The total 11 schools including Stellar International School Basma, , Alliance International School Banur, , Patel Public Scholl Rajpura, DAV Public School Rajpura, CM Public School, Rajpura, KK Public School Rajpura, SD Model School, Rajpura , SD Public School, Rajpura , Divine Public School, Dera Bassi, Rajpura. New India Senior Secondary School Panchkula, and Sacred Heart Convent School Chandigarh participated in the competition.
The first prize was won by Ridhi Kumar from SD Model School, Rajpura, Kanav Dhiman from Stellar International School Basma and Prabhjeet Singh from KK High School Rajpura.
The second prize was won by Nirwair Kaur from Patel Public School Rajpura, Janvi from DAV Public School Rajpura and Aradhya Badlhan from CM Public School, Rajpura. The third prize was bagged by Taniya Rao from New India Senior Secondary School Panchkula, Aihad from Alliance International Scholl Banur and Vidhi from CM Public School, Rajpura. The fourth prize was won by Pavneet Kaur from Stellar International School Basma, Ridhi from SD Public School, Rajpura and Himani from SD Model School, Rajpura.
The 5th prize went to Kunal Passi from SD Public School, Rajpura, Arshiya Jaiswal from Sacred Heart Convent School Chandigarh and Navdeep Singh from Patel Public School Rajpura.
During Maat-Pita poojan diwas , Mehar Hospital, Zirakpur will also organize a free medical camp where BP, sugar , ECG and eye checkups will be done free of cost besides distributing free medicines.
Walia also informed that the second phase work of the temple is completed and final third phase work is expected to be complete by 2026. The temple is being built on 10 acre of land.
He said further that the temple will be the first and only temple in the world, where there will be no idol of any god. Instead it will be a place for the worship of our parents.
The temple has also got the honor of being registered as the world’s first temple in the World Book of Records (London).
Meanwhile 3 modern cow sheds with all facilities have been completed and the construction work of the gau-chikitsalaya and panchgavya medical and research center building with state-of-the-art facilities are going on in full swing. ⁠The construction work of 40-room Nand Bhawan for cow sevaks is also going on in full swing. In a newly set up gobar gas plant, savamani is prepared daily for cow mothers.
During the occasion, Amarjit Bansal, Maaman Ram, Pankaj Jaiswal, Subash Singla, Kuldeep Thakur, Kapil Verma, Jeevan Babbu, Surnesh Singla, Suresh Bansal, Subhash Agarwal , Juneja, Ashwni Garg, Navdip Gudwani, Kashmiri Lal Gupta , Deepak , KK Aggarwal , Mittal and Jai Gopal Bansal were also present.
