When Will Hanuman Jayanti Be Celebrated in 2025..
Know the auspicious timing and complete ritual details for Hanuman Jayanti celebration…
New Delhi : Hanuman Jayanti, the sacred birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman, will be celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm across the country this year. As per the Hindu calendar, Hanuman Jayanti falls on the full moon day (Purnima) of the Chaitra month. In 2025, this auspicious occasion will be observed on Tuesday, April 15. Devotees from all corners of India prepare for the day by observing fasts, visiting temples, and participating in special pujas dedicated to the powerful and beloved deity, Hanuman.
According to Vedic astrology, the most auspicious time to perform Hanuman Jayanti puja begins early in the morning during Brahma Muhurat. This year, the Purnima Tithi will start on April 14 at 3:02 PM and end on April 15 at 4:22 PM. The best time to offer prayers is during sunrise on April 15, when devotees can perform rituals and chant Hanuman Chalisa, Sundar Kand, and other hymns to seek blessings for strength, courage, and protection.
Lord Hanuman, known for his unshakable devotion to Lord Rama, symbolizes energy, intelligence, and divine power. On this day, his idol is bathed with holy water and adorned with red or orange cloth, flowers, and vermillion (sindoor), which holds special significance in Hanuman worship. Prasad offerings typically include jaggery, sweets made of gram flour (besan laddoos), and bananas. Many devotees also light mustard oil lamps and recite Hanuman Bahuk and Bajrang Baan to invoke divine protection against evils and misfortunes.
Temples dedicated to Lord Hanuman witness large gatherings and special events like bhajan-kirtans, Ramayana path, and processions. Several temples also organize free food distribution (langar) and offer charitable services on this day. In many parts of the country, devotees observe a full-day fast and break it only after offering prayers in the evening.
Spiritual leaders often emphasize that worshipping Hanuman with sincerity on this day not only brings inner strength but also helps overcome life’s biggest challenges. Hanuman Jayanti is not just a religious occasion, but a reminder of the eternal values of loyalty, humility, and fearlessness.
As the sacred day approaches, devotees are preparing to celebrate with faith and reverence, hoping to receive divine grace and protection from Lord Hanuman.
