Fourth Day Begins, Discussion on Governor’s Address Expected..

Haryana : The fourth day of the Haryana Assembly Budget Session 2025 has commenced, and discussions on various important topics, including the state’s economic condition, new schemes, and development projects, are expected. The session, which began earlier this month, will continue until March 28. Chief Minister Nayab Saini, who is also the state’s Finance Minister, is set to present his first budget on March 17, which is expected to be around ₹1.95 lakh crore. The proceedings of the Assembly today include two sittings—one in the morning at 10:00 AM and another in the afternoon at 2:30 PM. The morning session will include the Question Hour and Zero Hour, where legislators will have the opportunity to raise their concerns and queries. The afternoon session will be dedicated exclusively to discussions on the Governor’s address.

The budget session has already witnessed heated debates and confrontations among legislators. On the first day, after the Governor’s address, the Assembly saw significant disruptions, with opposition members raising multiple concerns. Over the past three days, several heated exchanges have taken place between Congress MLAs and ministers from the ruling party. The situation escalated further on Tuesday when a confrontation erupted between a minister and a Congress legislator, followed by another dispute later in the day between BJP MLA Ramkumar Gautam and BJP minister Arvind Sharma.

With the upcoming budget presentation, tensions are expected to rise in the Assembly. The opposition is likely to question the government’s economic policies, especially in areas concerning employment, agriculture, and infrastructure development. The session is also expected to address pressing concerns about state welfare schemes, subsidies, and financial management. Given the ongoing political climate, today’s proceedings could witness more uproar and strong opposition from rival parties.
