‘Pushpa 2’ Breaks Records with 100 Crore Advance Bookings Ahead of Release

Hyderabad: The upcoming action-packed movie ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, starring South Indian superstar Allu Arjun, is already making waves before its release. The film’s advance bookings have shattered records, with the movie crossing 100 crore in pre-sales worldwide, even before its official release on December 5.

Directed by Sukumar, ‘Pushpa 2’ has achieved impressive figures in advance sales, collecting more than 30 crore from international markets alone. Meanwhile, in India, the film’s pre-sales have crossed 75 crore, making it the second Indian film of 2024 to reach the 100 crore mark in advance bookings. This milestone places ‘Pushpa 2’ among the top contenders for box office dominance in the coming days.

On December 3, the film’s makers shared an update on social media, celebrating the massive success of the advance bookings. The post read, “Pushpa 2: The Rule has crossed 100 crores in advance bookings. The biggest Indian film is smashing records with unprecedented earnings.”

‘Pushpa 2′ has surpassed the opening day pre-sales of Prabhas’ blockbuster ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which earned 62 crore for its opening day. In contrast, ‘Pushpa 2’ achieved this figure a day before its release, setting a new record for first-day earnings.

As of December 3 evening, the film has already secured 66.50 crore in net domestic advance bookings, making it the biggest opener both in India and internationally. The film’s pre-sale collection is expected to continue growing, with projections suggesting a 200 crore opening in India and up to 300 crore worldwide.

If these predictions hold, ‘Pushpa 2’ could set a new box office record for an Indian film, surpassing the previous benchmark set by ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which earned approximately 64 crore worldwide.
