Popular Tamil Director Suresh Sangaiah Passes Away in Chennai, Leaving Fans and Film Industry in Shock
Chennai: Renowned Tamil film director Suresh Sangaiah has passed away following liver failure. He died on Friday, November 15, at the Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Chennai. Cinematographer Saran, who worked with Suresh on the Tamil film Oru Kidaiyin Karunai Manu, confirmed the sad news of his demise.
Suresh Sangaiah, known for his impactful direction, particularly in his debut film Oru Kidaiyin Karunai Manu (2017), battled severe liver complications, including jaundice and liver failure. Despite receiving treatment in the hospital, he succumbed to his illness.
Director Halitha Shameem expressed her sorrow at the passing of her dear friend and colleague. Taking to social media, Halitha posted a heartfelt tribute, sharing a photo of Suresh and saying, “I am devastated to hear about the passing of Suresh Sangaiah. This is such a huge loss. Oru Kidaiyin Karunai Manu will always remain one of my favorites, and its significance has grown even more now.
Suresh is survived by his wife and two children. His untimely death has left a void in the Tamil film industry, with fans and colleagues alike mourning the loss of a talented filmmaker.
