The mastermind behind the crime was apprehended at the Chandigarh International Airport while attempting to flee to Dubai. The police identified the mastermind as Arun Kumar, alias “Aru,” son of Satish Kumar. Along with him, his associates Mandeep Kumar, alias “Mani,” son of Raj Kumar, and Ranjit Kumar, alias “Kaka Baiya,” were also apprehended. All three suspects are residents of Guru Nanak Nagar and Nawi Abadi in Bhogpur. The arrests took place just as they were preparing to leave the country, indicating the careful planning involved in their escape.
