RS Chairman suspends All AAP MPs for disrupting House
New Delhi, Feb 3 (UNI) Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday suspended all three
Aam Aadmi Party Members for the day on charges of disrupting the House proceedings.
Sanjay Singh, Susheel Kumar Gupta and ND Tiwari were suspended as they stood on their seats sloganeering demanding revocation of the three contentious laws when the Chairman tried to take up the discussion on Motion of Thanks on the President’s address after the Zero Hour.
At this Mr Naidu said during the discussion on the address, it has been agreed to debate the farmers’ issue. In such a situation, it is unfair for these members to disrupt the proceedings of the House. These people do not really want to discuss the farmers’ issue, he added.
He requested the three Members to maintain calm and allow the House to function but they continued with sloganeering. Even the Chair’s warning of excluding them from the proceedings under rule 225 went in vain.
The Chairman then said that the three members are being excluded from the proceedings for the day and ordered them to leave the House and adjourned it for five minutes.
