PFC pays final dividend of Rs. 462 crore to GOI for FY 2023-24
This is the highest-ever dividend paid by PFC in any Financial Year.
New Delhi: Power Finance Corporation (PFC), a Maharatna and a leading NBFC in the power sector, has paid Rs 462 crore to the Govt. of India and Rs 363 crore to other shareholders, totalling Rs 825 crore as the Final Dividend for the financial year 2023-24. For the Financial Year 2023-24, PFC paid Rs. 4,455 Crore dividend, out of which Rs. 2495 Crore, including the final dividend of Rs. 462 crore, was paid to Govt. of India against 55.9 percent of shareholding according to company press release.
The first, second & third interim dividends @45, 35 & 30 percent i.e. Rs. 4.5, Rs. 3.5 & Rs.3 per equity share of face value Rs. 10 each, respectively, were declared by the Board of Directors earlier in November 2023, February 2024, and March 2024 in addition to the final dividend @25 percent i.e. Rs. 2.5 per equity share for the financial year 2023-24.
During FY 2023-24, PFC earned its highest-ever Profit after Tax (PAT) of Rs. 14,367 crore.
Smt. Parminder Chopra, CMD, presented the dividend cheque for Rs. 462 cr to Union Minister Manohar Lal, in the presence of Pankaj Agarwal, Secy, Power , Manoj Sharma, Director (Com.) & Sandeep Kumar, Director (Fin.), PFC.
