ASI to enhance heritage site facilities before UNESCO meeting

New Delhi: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has ordered all its regional offices in states and union territories to enhance facilities and illuminate heritage sites before Unesco’s World Heritage Committee in the national capital.

Tickets and World Heritage Sites (WHS) will be emphasized. Registered and badged delegates, including foreign nationals and accompanying members, will receive free admission.

The Superintendent Archaeologist (SAs), who oversees circles, has been instructed to update lighting, signage, bathrooms, and cleanliness in and around protected sites.
