Israeli military strikes Houthi targets in Yemen after Tel Aviv drone assaults.

SANAA: the Israeli army struck several Houthi sites in western Yemen on Saturday after a fatal drone strike in Tel Aviv the day before.

The first Israeli strikes on Yemeni soil since the Israel-Hamas war began in October threatened to open a new front in the area as Israel fights Iranian proxies.

In response to “hundreds of attacks” against Israel in recent months, the Israeli army said it attacked “military targets” in Hodeidah, a Houthi stronghold.

Over 200 Houthi attacks targeted us. We hit them the first time they hurt an Israeli. “We will do this wherever needed,” Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated.

Israel’s military claimed solo strikes and “our friends were updated.” Israeli Defense Forces officials informed journalists that the port is Iran’s principal weapons entry point but didn’t indicate how many locations were attacked. The officer did not specify if it was Israel’s first Yemen attack.
