Marathwada records 267 more Covid-19 cases
Maharashtra still leads in new Covid-19 cases; tally18,59,370 and 47,827 deaths till date
Aurangabad, Dec 9 (UNI) The eight districts of Maharashtra’s Marathwada region reported
267 fresh cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, informed health authorities on Wednesday.
The region also witnessed 14 deaths due to the ailment during the same period.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI show that out of the eight districts of the region, Beed was worst affected with 31 fresh cases and five deaths, followed by Nanded which recorded 49 new cases and a three deaths, Latur registered 45 cases and three deaths, Aurangabad recorded 73 cases and single death, Jalna 28 cases and a single death, Parbhani recorded 12 cases and one death, Osmanabad recorded 14 cases, and Hingoli 15 cases.
As per the official data, 4,026 more corona cases and 53 deaths were reported across the state during the past 24 hours, taking the state’s tally to 18,59,367.
Meanwhile, 6,365 patients were cured and discharged from hospitals during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries to 17,37,080 in the state so far.
With this, the state’s recovery rate has now gone up to 93.42 per cent and the death rate stands at 2.57 per cent.
According to the health officials, so far 47,827 patients have succumbed to the disease in the state and 73,374 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
