SCR announces Jalna – Chhapra Weekly Train Service from Tomorrow

Hyderabad: To provide additional travelling facility to the people travelling from the Marathwada region to the various towns and cities of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, Ministry of Railways has decided to introduce one weekly special train from Jalna to Chhapra and back.
The first inaugural trip of this train service will start on October 26. This inaugural train service also caters to the needs of a large number of people travelling to Northern and Eastern parts of the Country to attend Chhath Puja festival at their home towns.
The special train runs via Khandwa, Itarsi, Katni, Prayagraj and Varanasi stations which provide direct train facility to the rail passengers who wish to travel to pilgrim towns like Prayagraj and Varanasi.
Earlier, the passengers had to travel in two or more trains to reach those pilgrim destinations. The train starts at Jalna in the late night making it convenient and comfortable travel to reach their desired destinations.
In the return journey also, the train starts at Chhapra during the late night and reaches Jalna at early hours.

The train consists of both AC and Non-AC classes, suitable to all segments of the people. This weekly special train serves the needs of the public travelling on pilgrim, business and vacation purposes besides the people travelling to their hometowns.
Initially, 6 services of the special train–12 services in both directions have been announced which will be operated during the months of October, November and December.
Accordingly, Train No. 07651 Jalna – Chhapra special train will start from Jalna every Wednesday at 2330 hours and reach Chhapra at 0530 hrs on Friday. In the return direction, Train no. 07652 Chhapra – Jalna special will start from Chhapra every Friday at 2215 hrs and reach Jalna at 0400 hrs on Sunday.
The inaugural Special train will start on October 26 at 2130 hours instead of 2330 hours from Jalna, a SCR statement here said on Tuesday. (UNI)
