For this Aadhaar enrollment, camps should be organized in schools. She said a special Aadhaar enrollment drive can also be conducted to cover the age group of 0-5 years in Anganwadi centers.

She said all the Aadhaar centers that have been set up should do the necessary inspection of those Aadhaar centers. She said efforts should be made to complete this work with mutual coordination. She said appropriate action should be taken against any fraudsters related to enrollment and updating of Aadhaar.
The officer said the fee for updating/correcting address, name, date of birth, gender in Aadhaar card is Rs 50 and for biometric update i.e. Rs 100 for updating photograph or iris or fingerprints in Aadhaar card.
She said in case of overcharging, one can file a complaint in 1947 (toll free). She said individuals can also download Aadhaar on their mobile phones which not only allows them to have Aadhaar on their mobile phones but also helps in availing many online Aadhaar services.
Bhawna Garg said the resident should check his/her details carefully while enrolling/updating for Aadhaar as there is a limit to update details like name, date of birth and gender in Aadhaar. She said names in Aadhaar can be updated twice; date of birth and gender can be corrected once. (UNI)
