CWG medal winners of HP to get Rs 1 crore each
Hamirpur/Shimla (HP): The government will award money to the players belonging to Himachal Pradesh who won medals in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games.
Renuka Singh Thakur (Cricket) and Vikas Thakur (Weight lifting) will be given an amount of Rs.1 crore each.
Similarly, boxer Ashish Chaudhary will get Rs 10 lakhs.
Apart from this, the medal winners will also be offered the job of Class One Officer, as per the new sports policy of the HP government, said Rakesh Pathania, HP sports Minister.
The new sports policy has been implemented in Himachal Pradesh. He said that a provision has been made in the new sports policy of the state that medal winning players would be honored with prize money. (UNI)
