Why Akhilesh has problems with digital campaign, asks Thakur

Lucknow, Jan 9: Taking a jibe at Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav, Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) assistant in-charge for Uttar Pradesh elections Anurag Thakur on Sunday said that earlier wary of defeat the former UP Chief Minister used to complaint about Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and now digital campaign is not going

down well with him.
Thakur said, “Akhilesh is now blaming digital campaigns as he used to blame the EVMs earlier. If he knows how to operate the laptop then why is he running away from digital campaigns? Why is there a fear of defeat?”
Referring to Akhilesh’s viral picture of Itra traders he questioned, “Who is the friend of Itra trader. When searches were conducted at Itra trader he sided with him and not with the Income Tax deptt.”
“We are saying it openly that the action being taken against the rioters and mafias in UP will continue after March when we will form the government,” he said.
On Akhilesh’s announcement regarding electricity, Thakur said, “Akhilesh is promising to waive off the bills, but during his regime there was no electricity, so how will he give free electricity.”
