Himachal: Zila Sainik board recast in Hamirpur district

Hamirpur (HP), December 4: The district Sainik board has been reconstituted with Deputy Commissioner as its Chairman, officials said on Saturday.
A notification has been issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Debasweta Banik on this behalf who has been named as its Chairperson.
According to the notification, District Sainik Welfare Deputy Director will be its member secretary and Major Ramesh Chand Sharma as the vice-chairman.
The Superintendent of Police, Chief Medical Officer, Manager of NABARD, SDM Hamirpur, DPDO, Army Recruiting Officer, Deputy Director of Higher and Elementary Education, District Public Relations Officer, ADO of Khadi and Village Industries, District Employment Officer, District Industries are official members of the Board.
The General Manager of the Centre, in charge of ECHS Polyclinic, and the Manager of CSD Canteen has also been inducted into the board as official member.
The non-official members of the board include Honorary Captain Ajay Kumar of Neri and Captain Amar Singh Rana of Ward No.-5 Sujanpur, besides Prabhat Chaudhary of Village Faste, Sunil Kumar of Ward No.-4 Sujanpur, Vijay Behl of Darkoti, and Arun Kumar of Ward No-2 Bhota.
The tenure of non-official members will be for three years from the date of issue of the notification.
It’s worth mentioning here that the main aim of the board is to look into the problems and difficulties of the serving soldiers, ex-servicemen and their families and to solve them.
