Chugh praises Navjot Sidhu advisor for Firing Congress for 1984 Riots
Chandigarh, Aug 22 (UNI) BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Sunday said that the cat is out of bag after PCC President Navjot Siingh Sidhu’s advisor Malvinder Singh Mali put up a Facebook post showing former prime minister Indira Gandhi with a gun indicating how the Sikhs were targeted in 1984.
While questioning the stance of Navjot Sidhu and Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, who had quit as an MP in the wake of the Bluestar, Chugh said Mali’s post has exposed the Congress’s heinous gameplan during the eighties.
In a statement here, he said while the BJP had always stood for justice for the Sikhs, it was the Vajpayee government which had for the first time laid the list of the Congress leaders involved in the anti-Sikh riots.
The Modi government has subsequently made sure that the culprits were brought to book, Chugh said. He questioned the Congress leaders for their “affection and favour” to Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler even after they had been held guilty by the inquiry commission.
The BJP leader questioned if Mali has been officially asked by Navjot Sidhu to attach such posts on the Facebook.
Earlier, Mali had ridiculed the nation by saying in a tweet that J&K was not part of India.
