Indian FM happy after meeting with Bangla FM Abdul Momen
Dhaka, Jul 15 (UNI) Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen and Indian Foreign Minister S Jayashankar met on the sidelines of the connective conference in Tashkend, the capital of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was described by Jayashankar as a unique opportunity to review the progress of bilateral relations between Dhaka and New Delhi.
The Indian foreign minister made the remarks in a tweet after a meeting with Foreign Minister Momen in Tashkend on Thursday. Jayashankar wrote in a tweet, Bangladesh Foreign Minister in the gap of the Tashkent Connectivity Conference. Glad to meet AK Abdul Momen. This is a unique opportunity to review the progress of bilateral relations, including the various aspects of our connection.
Dr Momen left for the country on Wednesday morning to attend a two-day international conference in Tashkent.
During the visit, he will attend the conference as a representative of Bangladesh and will have a meeting with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Momen will also hold sideline meetings with Chinese and Russian Foreign Ministers Wang Yi and Sergei Lavrov.
