Uttarakhand Foundation Day: CM Dhami Pays Tribute to Martyrs on State’s Silver Jubilee
Uttarakhand is celebrating its 25th Foundation Day today. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami began the day by visiting the Martyrs Memorial and paying homage to the state’s freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the formation of Uttarakhand.
During the Statehood Day celebrations at the Kacheri in Dehradun, CM Dhami paid floral tributes at the Martyrs Memorial, acknowledging the sacrifices made by the statehood movement martyrs. He expressed that Uttarakhand has entered its Silver Jubilee year, marking 25 years of statehood. In Dehradun’s Reserve Police Lines, a military parade was held, where Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmeet Singh (Retd) took the salute.
The CM reflected on how the sacrifices of the statehood activists led to the formation of Uttarakhand. He also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for laying the foundation of Uttarakhand. CM Dhami assured that the state government is continuously working to make Uttarakhand progress in line with the aspirations of the movement’s martyrs.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is progressing rapidly across all sectors, with the goal of making this decade the “decade of Uttarakhand.” During the parade, Chief of Army Staff General Anil Chauhan also participated. The CM will honor individuals from various sectors for their exceptional contributions with the Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman.

A policy will be formed to reduce road accidents with the collaboration of multiple departments.
Valley Bridges will be established.
A Women’s Policy will be created soon.
Villages with a population of over 50 will be connected by road.
A Youth Policy will be developed.
A special process will be implemented to ensure accountability for contractors and engineers regarding road quality.
Incentive schemes for mothers and children will be introduced.
