Nishant Kumar Yadav Assumes Charge as DC, Appointed as Estate Officer as Well
Chandigarh: The UT Administration on Friday relieved IAS officer Vinay Pratap Singh from his duties as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and other associated departments. In his place, 2013 batch IAS officer Nishant Kumar Yadav took over as the new DC. Additionally, he has been assigned several other key responsibilities. The administration has also appointed him as the Estate Officer. This decision was formalized through an order issued by Advisor to the Administrator, Rajeev Verma.
According to the order, Nishant Kumar Yadav will now hold the position of Deputy Commissioner along with the Estate Officer, President of the District Soldier Welfare Board, Controller of Civil Defense, Chairman of the Waqf Board, and Labor Commissioner. The new DC was given a Guard of Honor at the DC Office in Sector 17. Later in the evening, he participated in a meeting with Union Minister Manohar Lal and senior administration officials.
