Tragedy Strikes as Athlete Dies of Heart Attack During Punjab Sports Event

Ludhiana (Punjab): Varinder Singh, an athlete from Jalandhar, suffered a fatal heart attack while participating in the ongoing “Kheda Watan Punjab Diyan” sports event at Ludhiana’s Guru Nanak Stadium. Having completed his long jump competition by 3 p.m., Varinder was in the field, watching other athletes compete when the incident occurred.

Heart Attack While on a Phone Call:
According to coach Bikramjeet Singh, Varinder was speaking to a friend on his phone when he suddenly collapsed, just as he was putting his phone away. The incident was captured on video and quickly went viral, sparking widespread shock and grief in the sports community. His teammates rushed to help, but he tragically passed away before any assistance could be given.

Community Mourns the Loss, Highlights Health Concerns:
The untimely passing of a young athlete has left the community grieving and has raised awareness about the importance of health screenings for athletes.
