Maharashtra: In a significant development in Maharashtra, police have registered cases against Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat’s daughter, Jayashree Thorat, along with several others, following allegations of vandalism and illegal assembly during a protest against a BJP leader. Allegations of Vandalism During Protest:
The incident took place in the Ahmednagar district, where Jayashree Thorat and her supporters organized a protest against BJP leader Vasantrao Deshmukh. The Congress workers were reportedly demonstrating against the BJP leader for making derogatory comments. During the protest, allegations arose that the demonstrators engaged in vandalism and attempted arson, leading to significant unrest in the area.

Legal Action Initiated:
Following the disturbances, local police took action by filing two FIRs. The cases list Jayashree Thorat, 24 named individuals, and an additional 20 to 25 unidentified persons as accused.
