SARAS Mela Mohali has many attractions today after successful launch Friday

Popular Punjabi singers and performers Pari Pundheer, Sweetaj Brar and Basant Kaur are listed to enthral the Mela visitors tonight !

SAS Nagar/Mohali: Saras Mela at the Sector 88,  Mohali  has listed lots of attractive celebrity singers/dancers  and performers  on Sunday.  After the mesmerising tunes of various traditional folk dances were reverberating at mela ground, today. Artisans and Artists across 20 states of the country were enthralling and attracting the people with their traditional dances, handicraft articles and talent.
The ground was full  of  colorful arrays, handicrafts, goods displayed by artisans from different states at more than 300 stalls, songs, music, traditional costumes, cuisine and more on Saturday.
Mela officer and ADC Sonam Chaudhary told media that artists and craftsmen from all over the country have  gathered at one place. She said that a large number of artistes from the Northern Region Cultural Center were also giving their performances in the Saras fair.
ADC Chaudhary said that the Saras Mela will continue from 10 am to 10 pm as well as musical night will also be organized every evening and renowned singers will perform.
on Saturday, Kalbeliya, Rajasthani Jogi Di Bean, Nachar, Rajasthani and Haryanvi Dance and other traditional folk dances enthralled the people.
During the  musical night, renowned Punjabi Singer sparks the ignite among the youth preset there with his popular numbers “Plazo”, “Sharara”, “Moti Moti Akh” and “Kangna” by forcing them to dance with the tunes of song.
He performed about two hours and sang all the popular songs as per the demand of audience.
Earlier, the students of Government Girls School Sohana performed Haryanvi Dance while students from the Chandigarh group of Colleges Bhangra and Haryanvi Dance. A competition to promote Swacch Bharat was also organised by reciting poems, portraying drawings etc.      (with inputs from DPR office)
