Congress Candidate Manisha Sangwan Alleges Rigging After Loss
Claims MLAs and Government Chosen by Machines
Charkhi Dadri : Following her defeat in the Dadri constituency, Congress candidate Manisha Sangwan held a press conference accusing the BJP of electoral malpractice. Sangwan claimed that the BJP won not through the people’s votes, but by manipulating the election process, particularly through the use of machines. She alleged that postal votes, which could have turned the tide in her favor, were deliberately invalidated at the behest of BJP leaders.
Targeting Postal Votes:
Sangwan’s primary accusation focused on the alleged mishandling of postal ballots. According to her, many postal votes were rejected without a valid reason, and this was done to benefit the ruling party. She emphasized that these votes could have significantly changed the election outcome in her favor, but were unjustly dismissed, questioning the integrity of the election process.
Call for Investigation:
In her statement, Sangwan urged for an impartial investigation into the voting process, especially the role of postal votes. She expressed concern that such alleged manipulation undermines democracy and sets a dangerous precedent for future elections. Sangwan also vowed to continue her political fight for justice and accountability in Haryana’s electoral system.
