Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, known for her candidness, has recently lauded Jaya Bachchan as one of the most dignified women in the film industry. Despite their past differences, Ranaut expressed profound respect for Bachchan’s contributions and grace.

In an interview with News18, Kangana acknowledged Jaya Bachchan’s significant impact on the film industry, highlighting her work during an era when female actors faced numerous challenges. “Jaya Bachchan ji is a very reputed actor. Despite her short temper, she deserves recognition for her work in the 1970s, like in ‘Guddi,’ at a time when women endured harsh conditions for their craft,” Kangana said.
Ranaut praised Bachchan for her role in advocating women’s empowerment through her work long before the concept was widely recognized. “She is one of the most dignified women in the film industry. The way she represents us in Rajya Sabha is commendable,” Kangana added.
Addressing her previous criticisms of Bachchan, Kangana acknowledged past tensions but emphasized respect. “If Jaya ji had comments, we should take them in stride. She’s our senior, and it’s important to accept differing opinions,” Ranaut noted.
