77 Teachers in Punjab to Receive Awards
Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has announced that 77 teachers will be honored on Teachers’ Day 2024. The awards will be presented in four categories: 55 teachers will receive the Teachers’ State Award, 10 will be recognized with the Young Teacher Award, 7 will receive administrative awards, and 5 will be given special honors. School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains congratulated the selected teachers, acknowledging their outstanding contributions to education.

Urfana Amin to Receive National Teachers’ Award 2024: Urfana Amin from Srinagar is set to receive the National Teachers’ Award 2024 from President Droupadi Murmu on National Teachers’ Day. Amin is recognized for her exceptional contributions to education, especially her work with children with special needs and proficiency in Braille, significantly impacting education in Jammu and Kashmir.
Two Educators from DK Selected for Karnataka Best Teacher Award: Yamuna K and Vishwanath Gowda K from Dakshina Kannada have been honored with the Karnataka Best Teacher Award. Yamuna, a headmistress at a primary school, and Vishwanath, an art teacher at a high school, are both celebrated for their dedication and previous accolades in education.
Vinay Patel Awarded National Teachers’ Award: Vinay Patel from Vadadala village, Anand district, has been selected for the National Teachers’ Award 2024. As the principal of a high school, Patel is recognized for his initiatives, including a medicinal plant garden, digital library, and smart classrooms. His focus on environmental education and efforts to ban single-use plastics are also noteworthy.
