German Hessen Univ. Awards Honorary Doctorate to Veteran Adman Surinder Rana

New Delhi/Frankfurt: Veteran advertising professional and social activist Surinder Rana was awarded Honorary Doctorate by the famous  Hessen International University of Germany.

Surinder Rana has an untiring zeal for work in advertising profession (mainly Outdoor) as also social connect having done a lifetime social  work through many prominent social welfare organsations like Lions Club, Rotary Club and others. He has put in  decades of service in the advertising industry and worked in senior positions with many advertising and communication agencies working for multinationals, big corporate houses and State Government outreach  projects.

His family has a history of four generations, as  peers of Outdoor advertising, having established  Lahorimal & Sons, an advertising outfit   by his grandfather, Thakur Lahorimal  in Lahore, the capital of erstwhile Punjab before indepedence. His father Nandlal Thakur and his uncles also continued work in the same profession, as the current awardee  Surinder also continues.

He was awarded the honour in New Delhi on Sunday, by the officials of the German Uninversity, Hessen International, in the presence of Embassy personnel and many senior  advertising professionals.
